About the team
The Performance and Regulatory Reporting team provides a unique understanding of customers and the market, using data and insights to design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and strong data models that underpin regulatory and customer reporting solutions. 

As part of the Customer business unit, the team is a key enabler to our end-to-end performance for energy sales, marketing and customer service. 


About the Role 
As a Performance Analyst, you’ll responsible for designing, building and maintaining the data pipelines and engineering foundations that support Customer reporting and insights. You will develop dashboards and reporting solutions that drive operational and strategic decision making, ensuring data is reliable, secure and compliant with regulatory and organisational standards.   


Key responsibilities and deliverables include:
 

 

  • Build and maintain reporting datasets, measures, and models used for Regulatory submissions and agent KPI. 

  • Develop high quality dashboards, visualisations and reporting assets for internal and third-party stakeholders. 

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data workflows to ensure reliability and performance. 

  • Work across multiple cross-functional teams, own the data solution ensuring alignment between business teams and regulator/contractual reporting requirements. 

  • Partner with business, customer, and operational teams to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable solutions. 

  • Manage expectations, timelines, and priorities across multiple stakeholders. 

  • Underpin formal business performance reviews, assessing functional results and forecasts based on insights and trends. 

  • Assist with developing recommendations for changes in business practice/focus based on insights and analysis of performance data. 
     

 

About You
You’ll bring a mix of hands-on technical skills combined with the nous to communicate and engage with leaders from our Customer Operations space, managing competing demands and influencing appropriate outcomes through effective collaboration. This is technical role at its core, so those with the requisite level of technical capability combined with strong business acumen and engagement capability will stand out.  

We’d love to see some the following: 

  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in relational and analytics data modelling. 

  • Proficiency in BI data visualisation tools (Power BI). 

  • Proficiency in data modelling / architecture. 

  • Familiarity with residential energy products, customer buying behaviour, and industry trends a distinctive advantage. 

  • Experience with cloud platforms and building pipelines would be highly valued (Databricks in particular) 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams and provide advice leadership around Data and Analytics to a range of technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguous problems in a structured manner. 

  • Confidence to respectfully challenge opinions, always striving for the right outcome. 

 

Please note, this is a fixed-term, maternity leave cover position (18 months).
