About the Role 
As Key Partner Account Manager, your primary purpose is to develop strategic relationships with new and existing business partners, helping to drive forward EnergyAustralia’s revenue and profit outcomes in the large / key account segment.  

 

You will work with a large portfolio of commercial and industrial customers, using savvy development and tenacious account management / service practices to cultivate new leads and retain our existing key commercial accounts. This role affords you to the opportunity to gather competitive intelligence for the company, so your ability to develop relationships with several internal teams, along with various specialists and consultants within the broader energy sector, will define your success. 

 

A brief snapshot of responsibilities:
 

  • Developing and maintaining key customer and consultant/ broker relationships, with a strong focus on tailoring your communication style as required, allowing you to profitably acquire large commercial electricity and gas customers.
  • Deliver a sales experience that reflects our customer value proposition, customer advocacy, brand, and strategy principles.
  • Helping develop business cases and contributing to tender responses to optimise customer solutions accounting for customer sites, energy usage profiles, prevailing and future energy pricing, government incentives, existing assets, innovative technology, and future opportunities.
  • Proactively offering innovative solutions combined with sound decision making throughout the tendering process, as opportunities arise.
  • Effectively manage controls and take action to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal obligations. 

  

About You 
To thrive in this position, you’ll bring solid experience in sales and or key account management, ideally selling mass market essential services or products within a highly regulated industry. You’ll possess a keen eye for detail and have a natural ability to build long-term professional relationships.  

 

Things that we are looking for:
 

  • A strong track record in a sales management or major accounts role within a complex regulatory environment, with experience in new energy solutions viewed favourably.
  • Demonstrated success seeking out and cultivating large scale sales opportunities.
  • A deep passion for the customer with a proven ability to understand customers, identify and execute customer value propositions and build & execute plans that deliver a great customer experience.
  • Significant commercial acumen, including experience negotiating and managing complex contracts.
  • Experience in the use of financial, economic, and other business indicators to evaluate and manage the performance of the business.
  • Knowledge of the gas and electricity markets, particularly the commercial and industrial space, would be a big advantage. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with a focus on Excel.
