About the position
The Configuration Lead will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of EnergyAustralia’s Configuration Management practice and ServiceNow CMDB ensuring accurate, complete and well governed configuration data supports ITSM, ITOM, ITAM and Risk Management processes.
You will be involved in managing end to end configuration data lifecycle, aligning CSDM best practices, leading Service Mapping initiatives and embedding strong CMDB data quality and governance controls.
This is a permanent position based at our Docklands office with a hybrid working environment of at least 2 days in the office.
- Lead Configuration Management and ServiceNow CMDB, aligned to ITIL, CSDM, and business needs.
- Ensure high-quality CMDB data through governance, CI lifecycle management, and Service Mapping.
- Partner with Security, Risk, and platform teams to meet compliance needs and enhance CMDB capabilities.
- Manage the full lifecycle, audit accuracy, reporting, and CMDB updates for all Technology infrastructure hardware and software assets.
- Lead IT Change Management ensuring controlled approvals, accurate ServiceNow records, and clear change governance and communication.
- Establish and manage a Service Level Management framework, defining, implementing, and continuously improving SLAs, OLAs, and performance measures across all IT services and suppliers.
About you
- Extensive experience in Configuration Management, CMDB administration, or ITSM/ITOM roles, with hands-on expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CSDM.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate complex IT Changes, including managing inter-dependent change impacts.
- Strong skills in vendor and stakeholder management, ensuring compliance with processes and standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in ServiceNow, including reports and dashboards
