About the Role
EnergyAustralia is building out multiple cross-functional squads to deliver its Customer Transformation (CTX) program, underpinned by a new core billing system implementation. This program is designed to modernise ways of working and improve customer outcomes.
The Experience Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive, data-informed digital experiences aligned to the CTX Digital Roadmap. Key Responsibilities include:
- Design end-to-end customer journeys across web and mobile platforms
- Improve self-service experiences and simplify assisted customer interactions
- Drive consistency across digital channels
- Embed human-centred design principles into discovery and delivery
- Use data and insights to inform design decisions
- Collaborate with digital squads, product owners, and stakeholders
- Translate business needs and platform capabilities into scalable UX solutions
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and reusable components
- Ensure design artefacts are:
- Documented
- Version-controlled
- Integrated into tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence
About You (Requirements)
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in UX design (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years’ experience in UX / Experience Design (lead level)
- Experience in the utilities or energy sector (preferred)
- Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple, usable experiences
- Advanced proficiency in Figma
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0)
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance constraints (e.g. billing, hardship, CDR)
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, matrix environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
