About Us
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation. Our ability to deliver on this purpose will be dependent on our people.
As the energy sector rapidly evolves with electrification, renewables, and sustainability at the forefront, we are delivering innovative centralised energy solutions to meet the needs of modern communities.
About the team
Our Digital team is central to how customers join, manage and grow their energy relationship with EnergyAustralia. We're accountable for delivering customer outcomes across digital journeys, building products that earn trust, drive measurable business performance and support the energy transition.
About the role
We're looking for a Digital Product Owner – Website & Growth to drive the customer and commercial value delivered through EnergyAustralia's website, merchandising, on-site experimentation and campaign execution. You'll play a pivotal role in unlocking performance uplift from the current platform, combining a thorough understanding of our competitors, our own performance and a strategic mindset.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Owning the backlog for website changes and content updates, treating site health (broken links, outdated content, page performance) as an ongoing discipline.
- Driving the A/B testing and experimentation roadmap for upper-funnel and conversion pages, running tests to a valid methodology and documenting results so learnings compound.
- Owning on-site merchandising and offer management, and lead the squad's execution of campaigns end to end, from brief through to delivery and reporting.
- Ensuring website content, offers and merchandising comply with regulatory requirements, including pricing and DMO obligations, before anything goes live.
- Lead, coach and develop a Digital Producer and Campaign team , partnering closely with the Digital Performance & Operations Leader, Marketing, UX and Technology to keep the website and growth roadmap aligned.
About you
You're an experienced product owner with strong commercial instincts and hands-on comfort with CMS, testing and campaign tools. We'd also love to see:
- 4+ years' product ownership experience in digital businesses, ideally including direct ownership of a CMS-based website and an experimentation program.
- A strong track record in A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation, with the statistical literacy to know when a result is real.
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms and testing/personalisation tools (e.g. Drupal, Adobe Target, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small direct team, not just partner with a matrixed squad.
- Comfort managing a live campaign calendar under commercial pressure, balancing marketing's ambitions against delivery capacity.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working across Marketing, UX, Technology and Digital Performance.
- Experience managing regulatory and brand compliance requirements for public-facing web content and offers.
- Energy industry, regulated consumer market, or other compliance-heavy digital business experience is desirable.
