About the role

 

The Contractor and Operations Performance Manager ensures delivery partners consistently meet performance, quality, cost, and customer experience standards across solar, battery, and EV charger installations, supporting scalable and efficient operations.

 

You will lead operational and commercial performance across contractor, subcontractor, and field operations networks, with end-to-end accountability for contractor agreements.

 

This is a permanent position based in Docklands with hybrid working requiring two days in the office per week, with some interstate and travel across Victoria.

 

  • Establish and manage contractor and subcontractor performance through clear KPIs, regular reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Source, select, and onboard contractors and subcontractors to ensure capable and commercially aligned delivery capacity.
  • Ensure clear onboarding standards, operational readiness, and up-to-date licences and accreditations
  • Plan delivery and workforce capacity based on demand forecasts, while maintaining good quality, cost control, and customer experience.
  • Manage contractor costs and performance, including rates, rework, variations, warranties, and disputes, working closely with Commercial and Delivery teams to protect margins.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and contractor networks to support safe, high‑quality delivery that meets regulatory standards.

 

About you

 

  • Strong experience across solar and battery installations
  • Experience managing contractor and subcontractor performance in operational or field-based environments
  • Proven ability to set KPIs, manage service levels and drive accountability
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost and performance reporting
  • Ability to analyse operational data and convert insights into actionable improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Resilient, outcome-focused and comfortable managing complex performance issues
