About the role
The Senior Manager, Compliance Risk Policy Framework is a delivery focused second line hands on leadership position to drive the ongoing evolution and embedment of our enterprise Compliance Management System (CMS).
In this role you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, enterprise reporting, system optimisation, and framework governance. You will lead small specialist team and oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the CMS and its associated artefacts, ensuring they evolve efficiently and are implemented with pace and precision.
This is a permanent position based at our Docklands office with a hybrid working environments (3 days in the office).
- Maintain and continuously improve the Board-approved Regulatory Compliance Policy on behalf of the Policy Owner.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing uplift of EnergyAustralia’s Compliance Management System (CMS), ensuring alignment to ISO 37301 and the Three Lines of Defence model.
- Oversee and refine the seven CMS components to ensure they remain practical, integrated and operationally effective.
- Deliver accurate, insight-driven compliance reporting to the Board and relevant Committees, supporting the Head of Regulatory Compliance Risk.
- Own and drive system enhancements within Archer to optimise compliance workflows, automation and reporting maturity.
- Govern and enhance the enterprise Regulatory Compliance Training Framework.
- Operate with strong attention to detail, ensuring governance artefacts, reporting and procedures are technically robust and defensible.
- Lead a small team of specialists, setting clear expectations and driving high-quality outcomes across multiple uplift initiatives.
- Partner with Legal, Regulatory Engagement, Risk and Business Units to embed compliance accountability and capability.
About You
- Significant experience in regulatory compliance, enterprise risk or governance ideally within energy, financial services, infrastructure or other regulated environments.
- Experience contributing/leading compliance framework or CMS uplift initiatives in a regulated industry.
- Solid understanding of ISO 37301 and practical application of the Three Lines of Defence.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong governance discipline and documentation rigour.
- Strong experience producing Board-ready reporting and executive insights.
- Confident working with system owners (e.g. Archer) to enhance governance workflows.
- Experience leading a small technical team and driving performance outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders while maintaining appropriate second line independence.
